Even Numbness Is Held

If you feel numb, that’s okay too.
Numb is still surviving.

Some seasons dull the edges of feeling—not because you don’t care, but because your heart has carried more than it knows how to process. Numbness can be a form of protection, a quiet pause while healing continues beneath the surface.

God is still near.
He has not stepped away because you feel less.

He remains present in the stillness, the blank spaces, and the days when emotions feel distant.

Even numbness does not separate you from His care.

“The Lord is close to all who call on Him.”

A Gentle Prayer

God,
Today my heart feels quiet and distant,
and I don’t know what to do with that.

Meet me here in the numbness.
Hold me steady
until feeling returns in its own time.

Thank You for staying close,
even when I feel very little.
Amen.
