Learning a Life You Didn’t Choose

You are learning a new life you didn’t choose.

Nothing about this season was asked for, and yet here you are—doing your best to navigate it.

Learning takes time. So does adjusting to a life reshaped by loss. There will be moments of uncertainty, missteps, and days when everything feels unfamiliar again. That does not mean you are failing—it means you are learning.

Be patient with yourself, just as God is patient with you.

He is not rushing you.
He is not disappointed in your pace.

He is walking with you, teaching you how to live again, one gentle step at a time.

🤍

“The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in love.”
— Psalm 103:8

A Gentle Prayer

God,
This life feels unfamiliar,
and some days I don’t know
how to live it well.

Help me extend patience
to myself as You do.

Teach me gently,
steady my steps,
and remind me that
You are not in a hurry.

Thank You for Your compassion
and faithfulness with me.
Amen.
