God doesn’t rush the grieving heart.
He walks with it.
He knows your pace. He understands the days that feel heavy and the moments that feel tender. He is not asking you to “be over it,” to hurry your healing, or to pretend you’re fine.
He is simply with you—step by step.
Even when progress feels slow, God is present. Even when you take two steps forward and one step back, He is still holding your hand. And even when all you can do is breathe, He counts that as movement.
You are not walking alone.

“Though I walk through the valley… You are with me.”
— Psalm 23:4
A Gentle Prayer
God,
Thank You for not rushing me.
Thank You for walking with me
through this valley,
step by step.
Give me peace
in the slow process
and strength
for today’s steps.
Help me trust
Your presence
more than my progress.
Amen.
